VirtualEcoExplorer is an immersive virtual reality game developed by Nordic Waves Group that empowers users - especially students - to learn about carbon footprints and sustainability through gamified experiences. Our mission is to make climate education more engaging, experiential, and accessible.
We are currently expanding our volunteer team and are looking for passionate individuals who want touse their skills to support and further grow our platform.
We are particularly looking for talent in the following areas:
VR Development & Programming
- Unity developers with experience in C# and VR environments
- Gameplay logic and user interaction development
- Optimization for performance across VR platforms
3D Modeling & Environment Design
- Artists and modelers with skills in architectural or environmental 3D design
- Experience with Blender, Unity, or similar tools
- Ability to design realistic cityscapes, objects, and infrastructure
Business & Commercial Development
- Individuals with strong interest in sustainability and digital innovation
- Experience or studies in business strategy, partnerships, or product-market fit
- Help shape and execute our monetization strategy and partnership models
Fundraising & Education Outreach
- Support our work in building school partnerships, onboarding educators, or researching potential donors and sponsors
- Help us scale our educational impact globally
Who You Are
- Passionate about education, virtual technology, and digital innovation
- Eager to collaborate in a diverse, international team of creatives and developers
- Comfortable working remotely
- Committed to dedicating a few hours per week (flexible)
